Monthly Live Panel Webinars/ Nov 2025 – Aug 2026

Who signs up for AFT webinars

Eight webinars, 597 registrations, 339 distinct people. The audience has shifted from personal trainers to healthcare professionals, a third of it comes back, and CIMSPA numbers are supplied by almost nobody outside the PT segment. This covers registrations and replay views — the check-in column is empty in every export, so live attendance is still unknown.

01 — Volume

Registrations per webinar, split by first-timers and returners

Sign-ups are lumpy rather than trending. The two biggest months (Nov 25, Feb 26) and the biggest recent one (Jul 26) are all months where more than half the room was new — growth here comes from reaching new people, not from the existing list turning out harder.

02 — Profession

The room has tilted towards clinicians

Healthcare professionals were 37% of the Nov 2025 audience and 63% of July 2026's. The swing is topic-driven: clinical subjects (amputee training, gait, MS) pull physios and NHS staff, while the two most PT-heavy months were Phantom Limb Pain and Nutritional Therapy. “Other” has quietly collapsed from ~17% to ~5%.

03 — CIMSPA

Only a fifth of registrants give a CIMSPA number

The field was added from Jan 2026 and is optional. Across the seven webinars that asked, 107 of 491 registrants (22%) supplied a usable number. That headline is almost entirely a composition effect: nearly half of personal trainers give one, while healthcare professionals — now the largest group — essentially never do, because most are not CIMSPA members.

04 — Loyalty

A core of about 60 people carries the series

219 of 339 people came once and never again. But 62 have registered three or more times, and two people have registered for all eight. May 2026 is the clearest read on that core: only 3 of its 40 registrants were new, so essentially the entire room was repeat audience.

05 — Replay

The replay roughly doubles the room, but the pull is fading

1,060 YouTube views against 597 registrations — about 1.8 views per sign-up. Every replay is unlisted, so these are not new audience found through search or recommendations: they are the registrant list coming back, plus whoever they forwarded the link to. Read the bars with the age label in mind — Nov 25 has had 280 days to accumulate views, Aug 26 has had seven.

06 — What stands out

Five things worth acting on

Positioning
The audience AFT is training for and the audience showing up are diverging
AFT’s courses are pitched at qualified fitness professionals seeking exercise-referral qualifications, but healthcare professionals now outnumber personal trainers 259 to 222 overall and 54 to 22 in July. Either the clinician segment is a genuine second market worth a product, or the webinar topics are pulling an audience that will never buy the courses.
Mailing list
Opt-in consent has halved since launch
58% of Nov 2025 registrants ticked the email consent box; by Aug 2026 it was 28%. That is a marketing-reach problem compounding every month — if the box has moved, changed wording, or lost its prominence on the booking form, it is worth checking the form itself before assuming audience apathy.
CIMSPA
The CIMSPA field is measuring role mix, not CPD demand
49% of PTs supply a number against 3.7% of healthcare professionals. As the clinician share grows, the headline CIMSPA rate will keep falling even if PT engagement is flat. If CIMSPA endorsement is a selling point, report it per-role — and consider a “not a CIMSPA member” option so a blank field stops being ambiguous.
Retention
New-audience months and loyal-audience months alternate
Feb (66% new), Jul (66% new) and Nov (100% new) brought reach; Mar (35%), May (8%) and Aug (38%) were mostly the existing core returning. May 2026’s nutrition topic drew the smallest room of the series and almost no new faces — a useful signal about which topics travel outside the list.
Reach
A small but real international audience has appeared
Non-UK postcodes went from 4 in Nov 2025 to 13–15 in Feb and Apr 2026 (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Malta, Australia, Italy, US). They are unlikely to convert to UK exercise-referral qualifications, so they inflate registration counts without being a commercial audience — worth segmenting rather than celebrating.
07 — The numbers

Webinar by webinar

“Registrants” counts distinct people after removing duplicate bookings by the same person. “Came back” is the share of that webinar’s registrants who registered for at least one later webinar. “Days live” is how long the replay had been on YouTube when the view counts were read, and is the reason view totals are not comparable across rows.

Data quality caveats

These figures come from booking exports, and several things in them need a caution flag before any of this goes in front of a partner or funder.

  • 46 duplicate bookings removed. The same person booked twice for the same webinar 46 times — 12 in July and 11 in August alone. Raw export totals overstate the room by roughly 7%.
  • 33 people use more than one email address. One of them booked under three addresses and four more under two each. Distinct-person counts are therefore approximate, and email-based deduplication alone would have said 364 rather than 339.
  • Role is self-selected and unstable. 22 people picked a different role for different webinars, three of them moving between “Personal Trainer” and “Healthcare Professional”. Treat role splits as indicative, not exact.
